The day after Thanksgiving, Jon's parents were kind enough to get all of us hotel rooms in downtown Salt Lake City. Everyone met up for dinner at the Rio Grande Cafe at the old Rio Grande train station. Eat ate some pretty yummy mexican food.

Jon and I and Danieler and her kids had rooms at the Gallivan Center Marriott and our rooms overlooked the ice skating rink. So we all bundled up and went out outside to watch the ice skaters. George, Britney, Braden, and Missy were brave enough to do some ice skating. They looked like they were having a really good time. The rest of us sat around and talked and took some pictures. But it was sure cold and we were all too happy to get back inside where it was warm.

For some reason the red eye on camera wasn't set so everyone looks like vampire's. Oh, well. It was still fun.

Afterwards, everyone just kind of relaxed and visited. It was was a really good day.

New Moon Weekend

So....on November 20th was when New Moon was released. For those of you who know me well, I am obsessed with Twilight and have been anticipating this movie release for quite some time. Even though this wasn't my favorite book out of the series, it was a much better movie then the first time.

I has 48 hours full of New Moon. Like I said......OBSESSED. On Thursday, the 19th, I was lucky enough to get tickets to a pre-screening of the movie. My friend Jamie got them from work and couldn't use them. I am forever in her debt. So on the 19th at 5:30 PM, I took my cute niece, Britney to see it. We really had alot of fun. I think she really enjoyed watching Jacob. He is pretty cute. Then that night at midnight, I went to another showing with my friend, Amber. Her and I had alot of fun. The theater we went to did theme rooms and we were in a Jacob room. However, there were so many people there that it was kind of tense. My third showing was on the 20th at 9:40 PM. I went with my friends, Jamie, Dawnita, and Jen. We went to Red Robin for dinner and had a really good time visiting. I sat by Dawnita during the movie and listened to her running commentary. Usually this would have bugged me, but she was saying all the same things I was thinking and it was really funny to listen. Although, I had already seen the movie a couple of time's so it didn't ruin it for me. I will even admit that I screamed when Edward came out and my cute friends thought that was pretty funny. It was quite a fun weekend.

At the Red Robin they had stand-up's of some of the character's and I had to have my picture taken with Edward. I am also a teensy obsessed over Edward.
To end my fun weekend, Jamie and I went to a showing of Planet 51. Cute movie, by the way. And when they were starting the movie, the actually started New Moon. Jamie thought it was maybe the preview but I knew they had made a mistake. I just started laughing because although I wouldn't have minded seeing it again, I was a little New Mooned out for awhile. They finally started the correct movie. What a weekend!!! I really have some great friends to share those fun time's with.

Silver Lake/Brighton 2009

After church today, we decided to pack a lunch and take a ride up the canyon. We decided to go up to Silver Lake up at Brighton. We ate our lunch in the truck and then proceeded to walk around the lake in 30 degree weather. Without heavy coats. All I was wearing were jeans, two long sleeved shirts and a hoodie. Jon was wearing jeans, a dress shirt, and a sweater. Your probably asking yourself if we are crazy. To answer that question.......Yes we are. We got half way around the lake and Jon wanted to trun back. But since we were half way, I told him we should keep going. We were freezing, our cheeks were red, and we had snotsicle's on the ends of our noses. But we got some great pictures, so I think it was worth it. Enjoy!!

Braden's 11th Birthday

On November 1st, we all went over to Jon's parents house for dinner and to celebrate our nephew's, Braden, birthday. The uncle's on the Williams side decided Braden was old enough to start learning how to shoot. So, the uncle's and Grandpa Williams, went in together and got Braden and air rifle. He's pretty proud of it too. Now, Jon or one of the other Williams men just need to take him out and show him how to use it.

Halloween with the Saddler's

On Halloween night, we were invited over to Daniele's house to spend Halloween with her and her kids. We had chili, hot dogs, seven layer bean dip, and lots of other yummy stuff. I dressed up Dixie as a witch and told Missy she could take Dixie with her Trick or Treatin. I think they had alot of fun. Britney went with her friends and Daniele and I took Braden out for a second go around. After everyone was home, the kids dumped out their candy and did a trade. It was fun to watch. Here are a few pictures from a fun evening.

Two Kid-Fun-Filled Days

On Thursday and Friday this week, I decided to take some time off. It also just happened to be UEA and Daniele's kids were out of school. So, I decided to spend the days with them. On Thursday, October 1st, I took Missy, Mandy, Britney, and Braden to lunch at Wendy's and then we went to Gardener Villager. Starting the first of October, the Witches come out. There are witches all over the place. And I mean, everywhere. Gardener Village is all decked out with Fall/Halloween decorations. Hay bale's, pumpkins, witches, etc. And then at each little store, they have things set up outside for the kids to to. Britney and Missy both got glitter put on their eye's and also had colored hairspray put into their hair. Braden got a HUGE Cotton Candy. We went to the candy shop and they each picked out something to snack on. And we also got a goo look at all the different witches. Mandy liked looking at them, but didn't want anything to do with them. It was cold and super busy, but we had so much fun.

On Friday, Mandy, Braden, and I went to The Gateway and saw Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs and it was very cute. I think Mandy really liked it because she couldn't stop laughing. Then we walked around The Gateway, got MORE candy at The Rocky Mountain Chocolate Shop. Mandy decided she wanted a Caramel Apple with Mini M&M's on it. Being the aunt that I am, I bought it for and I think if I allowed her too, she would have eaten the whole thing by herself. Good thing I was willing to help her out on that one.

These last two days were so much fun and I'm glad I took the time off to spend with them. I'm also glad that I have an amazing sister in law who lives so close and is willing to share her kids with me and Jon.

BRAD PAISLEY

On September 19th, Daniele and I went to see Brad Paisley in concert. And we had a blast. Except for two drunk guys hitting on us and getting beer spilled on our purses. Other than that, we had an AMAZING time!!! Brad Paisley is probably my #1 favorite country singer with Keith Urban coming in at a close second. He put on a pretty amazing show for his All American Saturday Night 2009 Tour. He sang "Ticks", "Celebrity", "Alcohol", "Then", "Welcome to the Future", "Online", and "Mud on the Tires", just to name a few. The concert was at the USANA Amphitheater which is an outise theater. It started to rain and came down pretty good, which made me a little worried they would cancel the show early. But Brad got out there and told us he was going play as long as he was allowed and didn't mind getting rained on. He is amazing on the guitar and I think he played 3 or 4 different one's. There was a huge screen set up behind him and that showed several parts of his different music videos along with the songs he played. I sang the words to every song as loud as I possible could. Luckily that next day was Sunday and I didn't have to teach my lesson. I had absolutley no voice left. And I was so glad that Daniele went with me. She mad the concert that much more fun.

Missy's Baptism

On Septmeber 16th, our cute, little niece, Missy was baptized. She was baptized by her father, Troy Saddler. She had her grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles attend. I was asked by Daniele and Missy to play the piano for her baptism and I was happy to have that opportunity to be a participant on that special occasion. Missy just glowed and told me afterwards that she felt "clean" and "different". She is so cute!!! After the baptism, Daniele and her kids, and the rest of the Williams' clan headed over to Jon's parents for cake and ice cream to celebrate. It also happened to be Dean's, Jon's mom, birthday so we had two special reason's to celebrate. We are so proud of Missy and the decision that she made to be baptized. We just love that little girl.

Keith Urban

So, my friend Jamie had two free tickets to see Keith Urban. Her husband was unable to go because he had class for Grad School. She invited me to go and I have to admit, I have not had that much fun in a long time. Seriously, he puts on the most awesome show. He has so much energy. He sang all my favorite songs. He punishes the guitar, I think he had 8 or 9 different one's that he used through out the night. We saw his show at the Energy Solutions Center and they set up a hige stage with ramps so he could walk out onto the floor among screaming fans. He is very brave! And then at the end of the floor, there was a mini stage set up for him so he could sing to the back of the house. Then he walked through the fans back to the main stage. Later on in the concert, he walked through the fans again to another mini stage set up in the stands where he was literally surrounded by fans. It was pretty cool!! He has a great aussie accent that's not too thick. After the concert he did an encore, of course. He introduced each band member personally and they are all just as talented as he is. He dedicated a song to his wife, which we thought was super sweet. After all of that, he took the time to sign autographs to the fans who had front row seats. It was such an awesome concert and so much fun. I will never forget it. Thanks Jamie for the awesome evening.

By the way, these are not my pictures. We were allowed camera's and people were taking pictures like crazy, but I forgot my memory card for my camera. Oh well.

Mandy's Headshot's

On Saturday night, September 5th, I had the opportunity to go to dinner with Daniele and the kids. Braden was pretty lucky because he got to go to dinner with 5 beautiful girls. I gave Britney a makeover and Daniele did Missy's and Mandy's hair. While everyone was getting ready, I caught Mandy in the bathroom looking at herself in the mirror and saying how beautiful she looked. So I took the chance given to me and got come cute pictures of her modeling for the camera.

See my pretty curls??

She is such a ham!!

Football is HERE!!!!

The smell of fresh mowed grass. Gatorade bottle's. Cheering crowds. That's right.....It's football season.

On Saturday, September 5th, Jon and I attended our nephew's, Braden, first football game of the season. He play's Little League football and is a member of the Highland Rams. Their first season game was againt Jordan Beetdiggers. It was fun to watch even though they didn't score a win. But we are proud of our little guy for playing hard and doing his very best. It doesn't mater who wins of loses. It's how you play the game.

Harry Potter Premiere

On July 15th at midnight, my frienda Darcie, her daughter Mellodee, and I attended the Harry Potter and Half-Blood Prince premiere. Darcie and I dressed up in Harry Potter t-shirts and Mellodee was dressed as a Hogwarts student. There were alot of people dressed up as different characters from the books and we were also lost in in a sea of pre-teens and teenagers. It was still a fun night. Of course, when I got home, I got 2 1/2 hours of sleep, but it was for sure worth it. Now I can't wait for July 29th when the movie will be shown in IMAX theaters with select scene's in 3-D.
