Harry Potter Premiere

On July 15th at midnight, my frienda Darcie, her daughter Mellodee, and I attended the Harry Potter and Half-Blood Prince premiere. Darcie and I dressed up in Harry Potter t-shirts and Mellodee was dressed as a Hogwarts student. There were alot of people dressed up as different characters from the books and we were also lost in in a sea of pre-teens and teenagers. It was still a fun night. Of course, when I got home, I got 2 1/2 hours of sleep, but it was for sure worth it. Now I can't wait for July 29th when the movie will be shown in IMAX theaters with select scene's in 3-D.

What the......

In South Carolina, we found this house that was taken down and the only thing left standing was the chimney and fireplace. I thought it was kind of interesting.

Family and The Beacon

Fortunately, Jon and I were able to stay for a few more days after the funeral. We stayed at a hotel and Daniele stayed with us on Sunday night. We soaked in the hot tub and stayed up practically all night. On Monday, July 6th, we went to Grandma's for a wonderful southern breakfast. We then visited and took tons of pictures. Then Jolynn and I went shopping with Aunt Candy and had alot of fun. Aunt Candy is a hoot!! We stayed for dinner that night and had pork sandwiches with baked beans and coleslaw. It was very yummy. We visited some more and then headed back to the hotel with Reuben and his family. Then we hit the pool and played for a few hours. On Tuesday, July 7th, we went back to Grandma's for another yummy breakfast. Jolynn took me shopping at a farm store called Bleu's. Then we went to lunch at The Beacon. The food was greasy, but very yummy. Tuesday night, we had dinner at Stephanie's house with her family and had a wonderful visit. Then Wednesday, July 8th, we stopped by Grandma's in the morning to say good-bye and headed to the airport to catch a 2:50PM flight. It was a wonderful visit, but too short. next time we'll have to stay longer.

Grandpa Seay Funeral....Spartanburg, South Carolina

On Wednesday, July 1st, we found out that Jon's grandfather, Roy Calvin Seay, passed away. We decided it was really important for us to be at the funeral. We caught the red-eye Staurday, July 4th and arrived in Spartanburg, South Carolina Sunday, July 5th around 12:00PM. The funeral was in Spartanburg and started at 4:00PM with a viewing from 2:00 to 4:00. We are really glad that we were able to go and visit with family and support Jon's mother and grandmother. Especially since I had never been to South Carolina, it meant alot to me to be able to be there. I have posted a slideshow of several pictures of cousins, aunts and uncles, etc.... The service was beautiful with military honors.
