On Thursday, March 26 1998, Jon and I were sealed in the Jordan River Temple. It was supposed to snow, but it was a beautiful, sunny day. We had lots of family who attended and supported us as well as close friends who were flown in for the occasion. It was a wonderful day.

Daffodil's in Snow

So, I thought the first day of Spring was on Saturday, March 21st. And, it was a beautiful day and only lasted for 24 hours. Sunday was windy, and then, today, it snowed. I hope my daffodils can endure this crappy weather.

Dedications and Birthdays

Yesterday, Jon and I attended the 10th dedication of the Draper Utah Temple. It was so amazing. We listened to wonderful speakers including our loving prophet, President Thomas S. Monson. I love his talks and you can just feel the love all around him. Even thought we had to watch the dedication from our stake center, we could still feel the spirit and it felt like we were really in the temple.

We also went to Dean and Jay's last night for dinner in honor of Daniele's birthday. She has turned the ripe old age of 29 and is looking forward to being 29 for the rest of her life. It was fun to be together with family and celebrate. Happy Birthday, Daniele!!!

Happy St. Patricks Day!!!

St. Patricks Dinner

We decided to do our St. Patricks Day dinner a day early so we did it on Monday. Mostly because I forgot it was Spring Break and that Jon would be home and I had already made plans with my Aetna girls. Anway. I went to Harmons and bought some yummy bread and some Irish Butter which is really creamy. However, I was disappointed to find that it was made in Illinois. Oh, well. We also had corn beef and cabbage (of course) and potatoes. It was so yummy and we loved eating it.

Bread and Butter

Corn Beef and Potatoes

Cabbage

All put together. So Yum!!

U of U Women's Gymnastics

Last night, I was invited to attend a University of Utah women's gymnatics meet by my friend Jamie. She had free tickets and asked if I would go with her. I had never been to a live gymnastic meet before so I jumped at the chance to go and I have to say, I really enjoyed it. It's alot different live from watching it on tv. It was absolutely amazing to watch these girls and the things that they could accomplish. They are truly powerful and amazingly strong. They also have a great deal of team spirit. After each girl finished their event, then all the other girls would run up to her and give her a hug and words of encouragement. I am so glad I went and think I have found another sport that I could watch faithfully. It may not be as exciting as the Utes football or basketball. It's not like the Huntsman Center was sold out or anything. But it was still very interesting to watch.

Just When You Think You Have Heard It All......

I don't usually post this kind of stuff, but I found this article on MSN.com and could not get over it. Not that I'm making fun of this lady in any way, I just found it kind of funny.

Woman has 911 meltdown over McNuggets

FORT PIERCE, Fla. - Authorities say a Florida woman called 911 three times after McDonald's employees told her they were out of Chicken McNuggets.
A police report says 27-year-old Fort Pierce resident Latreasa L. Goodman told authorities she paid for a 10-piece last week but was later informed the restaurant had run out.
She says she was refused a refund and told all sales were final. A cashier told police she offered Goodman a larger portion of different food for the same price, but Goodman became irate.

"This is an emergency. If I would have known they didn't have McNuggets, I wouldn’t have given my money, and now she wants to give me a McDouble, but I don’t want one," Goodman told police, according to The Stuart News. "This is an emergency."
Police say Goodman was cited on a misuse of 911 charge. A current phone listing for Goodman couldn't be found.
A McDonald's spokesman says Goodman should have been given a refund, and she's being sent a gift card for a free meal.
