Memorial Day 2009

On Memorial Day this year, my mom was visiting. We picked some beautiful flowers from my grandparents backyard and made two bouguets. We took on to my sister's, Allison, grave who had died when she was just a baby. She was just a year younger than me. Then we took my grandma over to my grandpa's grave and left a bouquet for him as well. The weather was beautiful and sunny and was a perfect day to visit our loved ones who have passed on.

On May 30th, my mom and I took my cute niece's, Missy and Mandy, to the zoo. We had so much fun. We road the train, fed the ducks, felt reall animal fur/skin and more. It was hot and I think we all came home with a little sun. But still a blast. After the zoo, we took Missy and Mandy to lunch at Red Robin for corn dogs and chicken strips. It was the perfect way to end our fun day.

I've Been a Slacker

I know I haven't updated in awhile. I am the biggest slacker. But I have become very addicted to Facebook. However, updates are in the works. More to come.

Mandy Girl

On Friday, April 3rd, I got to spend the day with my cute little niece, Mandy.

We had so much fun. She let me do her hair, but I had to distract her by putting on Shrek. We went to lunch with Jon at Carl's Jr. where she recited her ABC's and told us the color's she knows. She is a smart cookie.

Then we went to the dollar store. This is a tradition with all the niece's and nephew's when they stay with us. Usually they only get to pick out 5 item's, but I was feeling pretty generous. She picked out a doll, Hannah Montanna sticker's for her wall (she's only 3), a magnetic fishing set, and some other girlie things. Then she wanted a playset with a gun, handcuff's, a police badge, and other stuff. She really wanted it and I tried to reason with her that it was something boys played with. In the end I caved and all day she called it her "Under Arrest" set. I showed her mom and was glad that it didn't seem to bother her.

She is such a fun little girl.

11 Years and Still Goin' Strong

On Thursday, March 26 1998, Jon and I were sealed in the Jordan River Temple. It was supposed to snow, but it was a beautiful, sunny day. We had lots of family who attended and supported us as well as close friends who were flown in for the occasion. It was a wonderful day.

Honeymoon: Key West (Beautiful)

Bridesmaids: Daniele Saddler (Matron of Honor), Adrienne Pacheco, Brenda Tippetts w/Britney Saddler as our flower girl.

Groomsmen: George Williams (Best Man), Reuben Williams and Scott Tippetts

In the last 11 years:

Jon had back surgery 6 months after we wer married

We have moved 6 times

We bought our first house (and still living in it) 5 years ago

We have adopted a little Yorkshire Terrier

We celebrated our 10th anniversary a year early and went to San Francisco, Monterey, and Carmel, CA
Jon went back to school

I had my first ever car accident and ticket on the way home from San Francisco

The last 11 years have been wonderful and I wouldn't want to share them with any other person. Happy Anniversary, Love!!!

Daffodil's in Snow

So, I thought the first day of Spring was on Saturday, March 21st. And, it was a beautiful day and only lasted for 24 hours. Sunday was windy, and then, today, it snowed. I hope my daffodils can endure this crappy weather.
